For a program of this magnitude to succeed and sustain itself, the importance of community involvement cannot be understated. Through corporate, non-profit and individual financial support, the outreach to our young women displays a testament to a dedication to the future.

The inaugural YouAreYou program in 2007 was supported with generous gifts and donations by leading industry and private sectors in the community.

The Luzerne Foundation plays an integral part in the expense coordination of the project. For 15 years The Luzerne Foundation has assisted individuals, businesses, civic groups and other non-profit organizations with realizing their goals for philanthropy so collectively they can improve the quality of life for those living and working in Luzerne County. The Athena YouAreYou project is very fortunate to have a partner to provide a strong financial base for the program.

Become a Benefactor

There are a variety of opportunities to serve as a leader in your community through financial sponsorships and contributions.

Sponsoring items such as lunches and snacks for the day, nametags, notebook/pens, presentations sponsors, YouAreYou backpacks and audio/visual sponsors is a priority.

Financial contributions will assist in areas such as this website, promotion of the event, printing of forms/materials and associated administrative costs.

In-kind contributions are also welcomed as a way of showing your support. These could include snacks, items to include in each student’s backpack as a way of remembering their experience.
